DR Systems to add IDC's DR technology to reseller list

DR Systems Inc. has signed a multi-year vendor reseller agreement to represent Imaging Dynamics Co. Ltd.'s (IDC) portfolio of Xplorer digital radiography (DR) systems.

The pact has produced a multiple-unit order for the Xplorer 1800 DR system and the Xplorer 1500 dedicated chest unit from the 380-bed George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C.

The two companies also collaborated on the sale of an IDC Xplorer 1500 to Crozer-Keystone Health System and its 426-bed tertiary-care medical center and teaching hospital in Upland, Pa.

DR Systems provides filmless medical imaging and paperless information systems with an integrated PACS, RIS, dictation, reporting and web-based distribution product.

IDC also announced that it will install its Xplorer 1800 DR system at the University of Ottawa (Ontario, Canada) Heart Institute. Xtron Imaging Inc., based in Toronto, represented IDC during the process.
