Carestream Health (Booth 8342) is demonstrating the newest upgrades to its RIS/PACS platform as a work in progress.

The new PACS features advanced applications and support for the PIX (patient cross identification) standard. New applications will include: real-time matching of volumetric data from CT, MR and PET-CT cases along with synchronized views and image manipulations; native support for PET/CT fusion with PET standard uptake value, PET/CT synchronized views and volume matching of current and prior cases; and power viewer to read and compare studies using 2D/3D views with support for automatic volume matching.

The new RIS offers the convenience of threshold workflow management with a thin-client architecture that provides convenient web-based access by leveraging Microsoft’s .NET framework. The product can enhance both workflow efficiency and the accuracy of patient and imaging information in radiology departments, healthcare enterprises, and large regional deployments, according to Carestream.
