AHRA changes name
The board of directors of the American Healthcare Radiology Administrators (AHRA) has announced that, effective Feb. 23, it will begin doing business as AHRA: The Association for Medical Imaging Management.
The association said that the "new identity will better reflect the changing environment of its current and prospective members and the expanding field of medical imaging."
"AHRA's membership has grown beyond administrators to include directors, managers, supervisors and other medical imaging professionals. The common link is our professional pursuit of knowledge in and about the science of management," said AHRA President Penny M Olivi, CRA, FAHRA.
"Keeping the acronym ‘AHRA' alongside our new tagline is important to allow us to honor our tradition as we move forward in a new healthcare environment" said Edward J. Cronin, AHRA executive director.
