Hebrank named VP, CIO at UHC

Michael Hebrank has been tapped as vice president and CIO of University HealthSystem Consortium (UHC) in Oak Brook, Ill. Hebrank will assume his new duties at UHC immediately.

Hebrank’s career has included executive leadership positions at GBMC Healthcare and Helix Health, both in Baltimore, where he managed IT departments of up to 70 employees while developing strategic plans and budgets leveraging technology to successfully achieve the organizations’ business goals, according to UHC.

Prior to joining UHC, Hebrank served as CTO/CIO with investment manager Campbell & Company in Baltimore. Hebrank completed a master’s of science degree in computer engineering at Loyola University in Chicago, and earned a bachelor’s of science degree in applied statistics at the University of Baltimore.

UHC, formed in 1984, is an alliance of 113 academic medical centers and 253 affiliated hospitals representing approximately 90 percent of the nation's non-profit academic medical centers.
