Ambra Health launches first mobile app for medical images

Medical data and image management company Ambra Health has launched its first iOS mobile app for healthcare providers and patients to access medical images anywhere and at any time through their smartphones, announced in an Ambra Health press release on Oct. 23.

Users who download the Ambra app store can view, pinch, rotate and zoom in on current and prior medical images from study lists with no loading time. The app supports all imaging types from any connected PACS system, including MR, CT, PET and ultrasound.

Images can also be shared directly from within the app to other physicians, administrators and patients who also have downloaded the app—though it is not intended for diagnostic use, according to the release.

"Digital health is an increasingly mobile first experience," Morris Panner, CEO of Ambra Health, said in the release. "The Ambra app offers a quick and intuitive way for physicians to access medical images anytime, anywhere, and also enables providers to image enable patient and referring physician digital health apps."

The app is available now to download from the Apple App Store.
