Varian inks $320M supply agreement with Toshiba

Varian Medical Systems has executed a $320 million, three-year contract to supply medical imaging subcomponents to Toshiba for integration into diagnostic imaging equipment.

Orders will be booked over the period of the agreement, according to the Palo Alto, Calf.-based Varian.

“This contract marks the latest chapter in our 30-year relationship with Toshiba,” said Robert Kluge, corporate senior vice president at Varian. “We have complementary design engineering and manufacturing capabilities, and work together well to realize new products and improve existing ones.”
