Advanced Radiology Ltd. Implements eRAD's Cloud-based Teleradiology Solution
GREENVILLE, S.C., Nov. 21, 2013 -- In a release issued on October 15, 2013, under the headline "Reno Diagnostic Centers Implement eRAD's Cloud-Based Teleradiology Solution" by eRAD, Inc. (Nasdaq:RDNT), please note that the company implementing the solution is Advanced Radiology Ltd. and not Reno Diagnostic Centers, as stated in the headline and throughout the release. Reno Diagnostic Centers contracts with Advanced Radiology Ltd for professional radiological services.
eRAD, a subsidiary of RadNet, Inc. (Nasdaq:RDNT), a leading provider of standards-based, web-centric radiology image and data management solutions, announced today that Advanced Radiology Limited (ARL) has implemented eRAD's teleradiology platform as part of its growth strategy.
In addition to providing local radiology exam interpretation services for Reno Diagnostic Centers, ARL provides radiology interpretation services to other healthcare operations in northern Nevada. After initial implementation of eRAD PACS technology in March of 2013, ARL has been able to integrate successfully with its customers' EMR and PACS systems so that medical reports are delivered quickly and accurately.
Ron Milbank, Director of Operations of RDC and ARL, said, "Our goal is to be able to walk into a hospital or outpatient radiology facility and say, 'We can provide your radiology services and be up and running in one to two weeks.' No one else can do that. We liked eRAD for this solution because the installation was seamless, and because speech recognition is integrated directly into the PACS."
Radiologists can dictate directly into eRAD, which then auto-forwards the final report to a KellerMed server at the customer's location in a format that is easily translated to suit its final destination-whether it is a hospital PACS or an imaging center EMR. "Statistical data now shows that every time you change a radiologist's workflow, their accuracy goes down," Milbank said. "We didn't want to have to worry about disparate systems-'today you're working on this system, tomorrow you're working on that system, or the report format looks this way in one location, and that way in another location.' The radiologists work efficiently; they don't have to log in to a separate speech/dictation client and other systems. The biggest factor in choosing eRAD was worklist flexibility, with single login and single password."
"A key to our success was the ability to quickly bring ARL, and in turn their customers, live on the complete solution leveraging the eRAD Cloud," said Seth Koeppel, SVP of Sales for eRAD. "In addition, the DICOM tag morphing capabilities of our solution ensured proper report formatting and data management."
