S.C. hospital deploys Agfa RIS

The Greenville Hospital System (GHS) in Greenville, S.C., has deployed Agfa HealthCare’s Impax RIS for its ability to be integrated with its existing Impax PACS.

The company said that GHS has a four-pronged technology strategy with Impax: to help the delivery of patient care by having access to a patient's medical history; to access to clinical results; to process automation for care providers; and to eliminate film- and paper-based records by having digital access to information. Agfa said its Impax integrates images and information across the radiology, cardiology, orthopedics, women's care departments, as well as the vascular lab and the operating rooms.

GHS has four acute-care hospitals and 12 specialty healthcare facilities.
