InterSystems unveils integration platform in England

InterSystems has unveiled its InterSystems Ensemble integration platform in North, Midlands and East of England (NME) trusts under the NHS National Program for IT.

Computer Sciences Corporation (CSC), the local system provider for NME, is delivering Ensemble.

The Cambridge, Mass.-based Intersystems said its Ensemble Trust Integration Engine (TIE) will include pre-built and pre-tested interfaces for Trust-based applications. In addition, Trusts have the option to expand their use of Ensemble beyond the TIE to address other Trust integration requirements. Trust and SHA representatives from the NME are collaborating at the NHS Connecting for Health Trust Integration Forum to agree on which of their existing applications require Ensemble TIE interfaces.

CSC and InterSystems are working with the vendors of those applications to configure and test interfaces to the CSC-hosted applications, the company said.
