Two Tennessee physician cardiology groups merge

Mid-State Cardiology Associates and The Heart Group have united to form St. Thomas Heart, Tennessee’s largest private cardiology practice.

The combined group of 45 heart specialists sees more than 130,000 heart patients, and provides services to a 69-county region throughout Middle Tennessee, southern Kentucky and northern Alabama.

St. Thomas Heart will align all of St. Thomas Health Services’ (STHS) heart services, including a network of community clinics, the STHS Chest Pain Center Network with 10 regional partners, and two joint-venture catheterization laboratories, under the leadership of the new alliance.
