UK hospital deploys Siemens ultrasound system

The Centre for Women’s Health at the Royal Devon and Exeter Wonford Hospital in England, part of the Royal Devon and Exeter NHS Foundation Trust, has recently installed an Acuson S2000 ultrasound system from Siemens Medical Solutions in its obstetrics department.

Siemens said the system features knowledge-based workflow drawing on an expert database of real clinical cases to recognize anatomical patterns and perform automatic measurements. Optimized for high-frequency imaging, the device delivers 2D, 3D, color and pulse-wave doppler and 4D imaging.

The syngo Auto OB application on the S2000 is used to automate fetal measurements by creating semi-automatic biometric measurements of the fetus, according to the company.
