London healthcare facility installs Nuances SpeechMagic

Nuance Communications has rolled out its SpeechMagic technology at 12 sites of HCA International, a healthcare facility in central London.

Integrated into Euromed's MedSpeech reporting solution, SpeechMagic has reduced average report creation times from 24 hours to two hours and 40 minutes, according to HCA, which has 173 hospitals and 108 outpatient centers and services 14 million patients a year.

HCA decided on SpeechMagic after six-week pilots of three products, which were integrated into the organization's PACS to address potential implementation issues prior to the actual roll-out, Nuance said.
