Carestream Vue Motion cleared for mobile use

The FDA has issued a clearance letter to Carestream Health for the use of the Carestream Vue Motion medical image viewer with mobile devices such as Apple iPads.

Vue Motion is a web-based viewer that allows on-demand access to patient imaging data and is already being used with mobile devices in other countries, according to Rochester, N.Y.-based Carestream.

The viewer can be embedded in a HIS or EMR portal to allow authorized users across the enterprise to view patient data and images with a single log-in.
