McKesson adds three community hospitals to EHR roster

Three community hospitals have chosen McKesson’s Practice Partner Patient Records EHR and practice management tool for their employed/affiliated physicians.

The hospitals include:
  • Davis County Hospital in Bloomfield, Iowa;
  • Paynesville Area Hospital in Paynesville, Minn.; and
  • Renville County Hospital and Clinics in Olivia, Minn.

The hospitals, which selected the Paragon hospital information system to automate care processes in their inpatient settings, aim to communicate and coordinate care among healthcare providers in their communities, according to the San Francisco-based company.

In the Practice Partner EHR, Bright Note Technology auto-populates critical data on a patient chart, allowing physicians and other providers to use their preferred charting style to capture data in a single-screen note and synchronize searchable data across the complete chart, McKesson stated.
