NCI, NIH directors say time is ripe for cancer ‘moonshot’

President Obama’s “moonshot” initiative on finding a cure for cancer is coming at the right time, according to a letter written by the directors of the National Institutes of Health and National Cancer Institute to be published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
