Alabama provider to deploy ProVation order sets

Southeast Alabama Medical Center (SAMC) has selected health IT company Wolters Kluwer Health’s ProVation Order Sets to automate the creation, deployment and maintenance of order sets.

Located in Dothan, Ala., SAMC’s 370-bed nonprofit regional referral facility offers a range of services, including family-centered women's care, cardiovascular and cancer treatments and pain management services.

According to the Philadelphia-based Wolters Kluwer, ProVation Order Sets, powered by UpToDate Decision Support, provides integration into clinical processes featuring a vendor-neutral mapping and export capabilities to deliver standardized care for patient safety, outcomes, clinician performance and regulatory compliance.

UpToDate covers more than 7,700 topics in 15 medical specialties, links to Medline abstracts and a drug database, according to the company.
