Berlin Hospital integrates Median LMS-Lung with RIS

The Evangelische Lungenklinik (ELK) Berlin Chest Hospital has incorporated the Lesion Management Solutions (LMS)-Lung application from Median Technologies into clinical routine for cancerous patients or those diagnosed with suspicious lung lesions.

The ELK Hospital is a highly specialized hospital for diagnosis and treatment of chest diseases, treating nearly 5,000 inpatients every year, among them approximately 60 percent cancer patients. Median Technologies said the hospital’s radiology department provides approximately 30,000 examinations per year, among them more than 3,000 CT examinations.

This application, designed to help the radiologists detect, quantify and follow pulmonary nodules, was installed on GE Centricity RIS workstations in order to be fully integrated in the clinical workflow, according to Biot, France-based Median.
