Carestream inks distributor deal, launches new C-PACS

Carestream Health has inked a multi-year contract with MedAssets Supply Chain Systems to provide health IT systems for purchase by MedAssets members, including data archiving, RIS/PACS and cardiology PACS.

Carestream also announced that its latest PACS delivers a unified virtual desktop with native 3D and applications—such as PowerViewer—that provide registration and volumetric matching of 3D studies.

The company said its Web-based Cardiology PACS offers a single integrated platform for diagnosis, image review and reporting for echocardiography, cardiac catheterization and nuclear cardiology procedures—while its SuperPACS Architecture links multi-vendor, multi-site PACS platforms to create an enterprise solution.
