EMC introduces new data storage line

EMC has released three new disk-based backup products that the company says will increase the speed and functionality of its storage technology.

According to EMC, based in Hopkinton, Mass., its three new products have the following features:

• The EMC Data Domain Global Deduplication Array can provide throughput of up to 26.3 TB/hr and logical capacity of up to 28.5 PB.
• The Data Domain DD890 and DD860 single controller deduplication systems offer throughputs of up to 14.7 and 9.8 TB/hr and logical capacities of up to 14.2 PB and 7.1 PB, respectively.
• The third line of products are data domain supports for IBM i operating systems, offering up to 8.1 TB/hr throughput and integration into the IBM Power for disaster recovery.
