Esaote to digitize Italian healthcare group

Esaote has entered into an agreement with Villa Maria Group--an Italian holding company operating in health sector through a network of multi-specialized hospitals and outpatients clinics with day surgeries--for the computerization of the cardiology departments within the group.

The multi-departmental integrated information system, CvIS/PACS Estensa, will be available in eight clinics of the Villa Maria Group, and will allow the clinics to manage data, workflows, findings and images of cardiologic and vascular cath labs and of echocardiography and cardiac surgery departments, said Esaote.

According to the Genoa, Italy-based company, the project is slated to take approximately five years to complete.
