Minnesota clinic deploys McKesson's practice management system

Mankato Clinic, a multi-specialty group practice in Mankato, Minn., with eight additional locations, has installed health IT company McKesson’s practice management system, Horizon Practice Plus 12.0.

The latest release of McKesson’s Horizon Practice Plus features scheduling and billing capabilities for financial and administrative processes, according to the San Francisco-based company.

In addition to processing more than 47,000 claim transactions per month since deploying the system, Mankato Clinic has seen reductions in claims denial rates and days in accounts receivable, McKesson stated. Also, Mankato decreased the number of accounts 90 days past due to only 3 percent, according to McKesson.
