Oregon health system opts for Velocity cloud-based services

Charles Health System, based in Bend, Ore., has enlisted Velocity Technology Solutions' cloud computing platform to host and manage its Lawson enterprise resource planning (ERP) applications and Kronos time and labor management applications.

St. Charles Health System is a private nonprofit corporation that owns and operates medical centers in Bend and Redmond, and  leases and operates Pioneer Memorial Hospital in Prineville. In addition, St. Charles provides management services for Mountain View Hospital in Madras. The Velocity On-Demand framework will provide a cloud-enabled software deployment system that will enable St. Charles to deliver and manage its ERP and administrative applications, according to the New York City-based company .

Velocity provides managed services for nearly 200 organizations operating Lawson Software and Kronos applications, the company stated.
