Sandia labs implement Allscripts EHR product

Sandia National Laboratories of Albuquerque, N.M., has deployed Allscripts’ integrated electronic health record (EHR) and practice management software at its medical clinic.

Sandia, a multi-program lab, which employs physicians and mid-level providers to offer urgent care medical services, emergency medical services, consultations, physical therapy and blood pressure monitoring to its 8,500 employees in Albuquerque, N.M. and Livermore, Calif.

According to Allscripts, a Chicago-based healthcare IT provider, the EHR functionality will bring Sandia's physicians instant access to patient information at the point-of-care or remotely, while its practice management functionality combines scheduling and financial management tools into one package.
