Sutter Health selects Siemens Sienet PACS

California-based Sutter Health said today it has contracted with Siemens Medical Solutions to implement Siemens SIENET picture archiving and communications system in its five facilities in the Sacramento Sierra Region (SSR). This is a major step in converting Sutter Health's network of physicians and not-for-profit hospitals serving the communities in the Sacramento Sierra Region to a filmless environment.

At Sutter Health SSR, Siemens PACS is currently being implemented, beginning in the acute care facilities, with the final goal being the total integration of PACS into the patient electronic medical record (EMR).

Sutter Health's Sacramento Sierra Region encompasses hospitals, physicians and outpatient centers in Sacramento, Placer and Yolo counties. It is a part of the Sutter Health family of not-for-profit hospitals and physician organizations that share resources and expertise to advance healthcare quality.
