Wayport helps Pennsylvania hospital go wireless

The Washington Hospital in Washington, Pa., will install Wayport’s wireless public internet service.

The Irving, Texas-based Wayport said the Washington Hospital can run private side wireless applications and devices and provide guest access on the same Wi-Fi network, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and internal network security.

It will also provide 24/7 phone support for anyone who needs assistance connecting to the wireless network while at the hospital, according to Wayport.

The Washington Hospital is a 265-bed voluntary, not-for-profit community hospital serving Washington and surrounding communities, in addition to a 16-bassinet nursery and an eight-bed residential hospice.
