RSNA-sponsored imaging informatics course returns for 2024
The National Imaging Informatics Course (NIIC) returns, offering data analysts and scientists, radiologists, and other professionals a week-long online class to stay up-to-date on the latest in PACS, clinical workflows and the business of informatics.
The online course takes place March 4-8 and is designed with fourth-year radiology residents in mind. However, it would also be of benefit to mid- and senior-level professionals looking to expand their understanding of how data and imaging informatics is used in real-world environments.
“If you want to be equipped with the inside track on what’s happening with clinical decision support, artificial intelligence, standards, regulatory frameworks and entrepreneurship, this is the course for you,” co-developer of the course Nabile M. Safdar, MD, a pediatric radiologist, said in a statement. “The training programs that enroll their residents in this course are giving them a competitive advantage as they go to the next stage in their careers.”
The format of NIIC consists of live virtual lectures and group discussions, and much of the content is available on demand. Students will also be given assignments and relevant homework. Those who successfully complete the course will be eligible to receive up to 20 hours of SIIM IIP Credits for ABII certification and recertification.
NIIC is made possible through a partnership between the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), the Digital Pathology Association (DPA) and the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM).
The deadline for early registration is Feb. 8. More details can be found by clicking here.
