Privately held startup focused on wireless interventional radiology tech announces launch
A new startup company focused on interventional medicine, including radiology, formally launched in Salt Lake City this week.
Xenter, officially founded last year, is developing wireless technologies for interventional and neurointerventional radiology, as well as interventional cardiology, the privately held firm announced Wednesday.
Additionally, the startup is using its own sensors and devices to wirelessly collect health information, including physiological and intravascular imaging data to better treat heart and vascular diseases. It’s new digital health platform also seeks to give patients better access to their own medical data and drive therapeutic drug research.
According to Xenter, its new devices will combine functions that typically required multiple tools, promoting efficient care and cost savings.
“I founded Xenter to develop and deliver a groundbreaking platform for wireless imaging and physiologic data collection to physicians worldwide using entirely new medical devices and systems … and solve some of the most complex problems associated with medicine and healthcare,” Founder, Chairman and CEO Richard J. Linder said in a statement.
