IBA Molecular, MIM Software Sign Agreement for PETLinQ Enhancement

Dulles, Virginia June 4, 2013 – IBA Molecular North America, Inc. (IBA Molecular) and MIM Software Inc. (MIM Software™) have announced an agreement to co-develop enhancements to the IBA Molecular PETLinQ™ suite of products. MIM Software will assist IBA Molecular in transitioning its PETLinQ WD image/report distribution and archival system to the MIMcloud™ platform, incorporating improvements in speed, functionality, ease of access and reliability for all users. MIMcloud is an accessible, secure and scalable online resource for storing, sharing and retrieving images and reports. The introduction of an FDA-cleared medical imaging application with onsite, remote or mobile image viewing options will allow PET interpreting and referring physicians greater flexibility in their use of the program.

MIM Software will also integrate the IBA Molecular PETLinQ Peer Review and SureStart products, which are unique in the industry, into the MIMcloud platform. These physician support programs will continue to provide customized peer review and educational opportunities for PET interpreters, helping to develop and ensure quality and consistency. Customer support services will also be expanded for all PETLinQ products, further strengthening the customer experience. This agreement is an important part of IBA Molecular’s roll-out of a single, multi-purpose PETLinQ web portal, which will allow end users improved access from any location to the full array of online products, each designed to help develop customers’ advanced imaging programs. These products include:

  • PETLinQ Image/Report Distribution
  • Peer Review Services for PET physician support
  • SureStart NaF PET Bone Imaging education and support program

In addition, users will gain access to the IBA Molecular proprietary PETLinQ IQ website, with education, marketing, reimbursement and business support resources. This site includes access to IBA Molecular’s industry leading web-based learning management system (LMS), which allows technologists to receive CE credit through online courses. Finally, customers will also have immediate access to eDose Connect™, IBA Molecular’s HIPAA-compliant online dose ordering system, powered by ec2 Software Solutions™.

“Our goal is to deliver quality radiopharmaceuticals and the tools that our customers need to successfully develop and effectively manage their PET/CT programs,” said Lee Karras, President of IBA Molecular NA. “Working with MIM Software will allow us to continue to offer support products that are truly unique in this industry.”

“We are pleased to collaborate with IBA Molecular to deliver enhanced services to their customers,” noted Dennis Nelson, Ph.D., President of MIM Software. “Our companies share a dedication to providing solutions for our clients’ needs and a commitment to superior customer service.

”The PETLinQ Suite of products is available to all IBA Molecular customers. Diagnostic imaging sites can select and configure those modules which best match their needs, at a scalable and competitive cost.
