Zonare brings upgrades to z.one ultrasound to AIUM

ZONARE Medical Systems announced new upgrades to its z.one ultrasound system at the Academy of Molecular Imaging (AMI) meeting this week in Orlando, Fla. The upgrades include three new transducers, calculation packages, and Zone Speed Technology (ZST) that automatically recognizes differences in body sound propagation.

The new P10-4 transducer was developed for use in neonatal, infant, and pediatric patients. The transducers include a comfortable grip for scanning through isolettes and tiny acoustic windows. The technology provides seven different frequencies for harmonic imaging, two for color Doppler, and three B-Mode frequencies. A new P4-1 smaller transducer has been developed for abdominal and OB/Gyn sonography. Finally, the L8-3 transducer was made for peripheral vascular imaging.

The company also showcased two new calculation packages for abdominal and venous imaging. Protocol checklists with reports that include organ sizes, Doppler results, and a section for medical notes and comments are all available through the packages.
