New app helps combat global radiologist shortage

A Philippines-based healthcare startup has recently launched a web-based application that works to combat the global shortage of radiologists.

The application, from Lifetrack Medical Systems, links less-experienced radiology "apprentices" (the equivalent of residents in the U.S.) with more experienced radiologists who will assist the apprentices with readings and assessments. Apprentices submit reading reports online that are edited and approved by participating senior radiologists. A report published in Forbes offers more details:
