ONC challenges patients on how to use IT to improve their health

The Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT announced that it will host the Healthy New Year Video Challenge and issued a call for video entries.

Entries should share personal new year’s resolutions for improving health and plans for using health IT to help, such as using social media to communicate with providers, using online patient portals and using mobile applications.

Submissions will be accepted through Feb. 16 and winners will be announced March 15. A total of $5,000 in prize money will be awarded to seven winners.
