Fujifilm Presents Innovative Imaging Solutions And Educational Opportunities At AHRA 2018 Annual Meeting

Stanford, Connecticut, July 18, 2018 – FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc., a leading provider of diagnostic imaging and medical informatics solutions, today announced  that it will offer educational opportunities and exhibit its latest innovations in digital radiography (DR), women's health and pediatric imaging portfolio at the Association for Medical Imaging Management (AHRA) 2018 Annual Meeting and Exposition. Attracting over 1,000 medical imaging leaders for education and networking, the event will be held July 22 – 25, 2018 at the Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center in Orlando, Florida.

"With expertise in diagnostic imaging and healthcare IT, Fujifilm is well recognized as a valuable partner to radiology departments across the United States," said Robert Fabrizio, director of strategic marketing, digital radiography and women's health, FUJIFILM Medical Systems U.S.A., Inc. "With the introduction of Fujifilm's pediatric imaging portfolio, designed to optimize image quality at a low dose, Fujifilm is committed to facilitate best practices in pediatric imaging that improve patient safety and comfort."

Fujifilm will be showcasing the following solutions at AHRA 2018 booth #801:

ASPIRE Bellus II: The newest smart mammography workstation from Fujifilm offers a multimodality view for radiologists in an exceptional hi-resolution display with integrated 2D and tomosynthesis reporting. The ASPIRE Bellus II incorporates key diagnostic features such as current and prior image comparison, quadrant view, tomosynthesis support and inverted image display – all tailored for the unique viewing requirements of mammography.

ASPIRE Cristalle: Fujifilm presents its latest digital mammography system with digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT) option and state-of-the-art dose-saving Hexagonal Close Pattern (HCP) image capture technology. The newest solution features innovations to optimize contrast, enable low dose and fast acquisition time, all while providing noticeable patient comfort with Fujifilm's patented Comfort Paddle.

FDR Go PLUS: The all new FDR Go PLUS portable digital X-ray system features a compact design with a new retractable column, at one of the lowest park positions on a full size portable for easy visibility while traveling. The low profile helps safely navigate tight confined spaces like the ER, Trauma, OR, and NICU. The redesign brings a new level of high performance portable digital X-ray system, with the exceptional lightweight durability of Fujifilm's FDR D-EVO II detectors and antibacterial protection.

FDR AQRO: An innovative compact portable digital X-ray system designed for dedicated departmental use. FDR AQRO combines Fujifilm's latest premium advancements in dose saving technologies in a light, maneuverable design. The system even features Fujifilm's Hydro AG Antibacterial Coating on its primary surfaces to provide an added safety measure in infection controls. It's a great fit in size, budget, performance and infection control for departments like NICU, PICU, ER, OR and patient floors.

Both FDR Go PLUS and FDR AQRO are available with the options for kid-friendly graphic decals to help calm patients and their parents during approaching exams.

FDR D-EVO GL: The world's first single exposure 17x49" long-length detector enhances workflow for long-view radiography by capturing the entire image in a single exposure in just seconds, reducing the chance for patient motion-induced artifacts and time for the patient to remain still. This new DR imaging is further complemented with the ability to capture its images without a grid utilizing Virtual Grid simulation software, lowering dose up to 50 percent compared to grid exams.

Synapse 5 PACS: Designed with speed and functionality in mind, Synapse 5 PACS is a next-generation, secure server-side technology that enables instant access of massive datasets, working within the most popular browsers while using less bandwidth throughout the enterprise. Enabled with Synapse Communications, healthcare organizations have an enhanced suite of integrated tools including Emergency Department Findings, Results Escalation and Tracking, Radiologist Peer Review, helping create a tailored workflow and a closed loop of communication between emergency and radiology departments.

Fujifilm offers opportunities to learn from radiology and patient care experts at AHRA:

For all AHRA attendees, Fujifilm will host a complimentary breakfast symposium, Developments in Pediatric Imaging: Best Practices in Dose, Comfort and Safety, focused on reviewing pediatric imaging guidance and sharing best practices in providing the highest quality imaging care for pediatric patients. The educational event scheduled for Wednesday, July 25 from 7:15 a.m. – 8:15 a.m., will examine the latest technologies for pediatric imaging such as advances in exposure surveillance and dose monitoring, as well as solutions on how to achieve optimum image quality while maintaining patient comfort and safety.

Symposium presenters include:

  • Steven Don, M.D., Associate Professor of Radiology, Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology, Washington UniversitySchool of Medicine
  • Robert MacDougall, M.Sc., AAPM Task Group 252 Chair, Boston Children's Hospital
