ACR announces new Population Health Management Committee
The American College of Radiology (ACR) Commission on Patient and Family-Centered Care (CPFCC) announced Oct. 10 the creation of a new Population Health Management (PHM) Committee.
Working with the College, outside patient-centered care organizations and medical societies, the PHM Committee will strive to ensure high-quality radiologic and radiation oncological care is a key feature of improving population-based healthcare, according to an ACR release.
Syed F. Zaidi, MD, will chair the committee, and McKinley Glover, MD will assume the vice chair role.
“We must make sure patients don’t fall through the cracks of our fragmented health system,” Zaidi said in the release. “Radiologists can and do play a leading role in population health, and this committee will look to create toolkits and define best practices, further empowering our membership to expand their roles in advocating for the best healthcare for our communities.”
