Sectra takes home 5 ‘Best in KLAS’ awards in PACS and digital pathology
Healthcare providers across the U.S. have named Sectra’s picture archiving and communication system as the "Best in KLAS" for customer satisfaction for the eighth year in a row, the company announced Tuesday.
Overall, the Linköping, Sweden, global imaging IT leader received five Best in KLAS awards, including top PACS in Canada and Europe. Sectra also took home awards in the U.S. large PACS (300,000 studies or more) and U.S. small PACS (fewer than 300,000 studies) categories. The firm scored above industry average in three areas: "keeps all promises," "product works as promoted," and "proactive service."
Sectra also won Best in KLAS in the newly created digital pathology category. The solution was first launched back in 2015 and received U.S. Food & Drug Administration clearance just last March. Shortly after that announcement, the Mayo Clinic said it would begin implementing the pathology platform across its entire enterprise.
“To be selected by our customers as the preferred imaging vendor for digital pathology as well as for radiology across the U.S., Canada and Europe is a great honor,” President and CEO Torbjörn Kronander said in a statement. “Happy users are the ultimate proof that Sectra's staff and solutions deliver great value for our customers, contributing to improving the effectiveness in healthcare."
KLAS Research determines its award winners through a 12-month review process, completing customer interviews and analyzing research data points. The firm has been around since 1996, recognizing vendors for their outstanding efforts to help providers deliver better patient care.
