Agfa names Jonathan Elion as CMO

Agfa-Gevaert has announced that Jonathan Elion, MD, has been appointed chief medical officer for Agfa's HealthCare business group. This is a new position created to provide clinical insight and strategic direction for the company's growing medical division, the company said.

Elion has served as the medical director and co-founder of Heartlab, and has already had a long distinguished career in clinical cardiology, medical computing and business. At Heartlab, he was a pioneer in the creation of industry-wide standards and the development of products that improve the clinical management of cardiovascular disease.
