Misys reports strong revenue growth
Misys Healthcare Systems this week announced fiscal year 2005 revenues of $540 million. For the 12-month period ending May 31, 2005, the company's revenue grew 6.4 percent compared to the previous year. Operating profits also rose 3.3 percent to $77.4 million.

- Misys Connect, a web-based system that gives physicians a single, secure source where they can view patient data from any care setting or clinical system;
- A Web browser-based release of Misys CPR, a computer-based patient record system;
- A new release of Misys EMR that included Preventive Health Maintenance (PHM) capabilities, new specialty-specific templates, and the ability to track risk factors for patients and add diagrams to chart notes, among other features;
- Misys Tiger, a Windows-based practice management system;
- A upgrade of Misys Laboratory that includes Blood Bank and Microbiology modules; and
- Introduced the Misys Laboratory-Disease Reporting Interface
- Misys' focus continues to be the U.S. healthcare IT market though the company is keeping an eye on the international market.
