AFC rolls out new cart
AFC Industries introduced its Point of Care Cart at SCAR 2005 and showed its Ergo Tier Cart with Mobicube.
The new Point of Care cart provides maximum flexibility and streamlined movement to allow physicians to bring advanced computer technology to the bedside, operating room and other locations. A 21 x 24-inch footprint and large casters enable easy movement, and the height- adjustable system accommodates standing or seated computer use. The cart can hold a battery power source and includes a retractable keyboard and mouse tray. An embedded UPS (uninterruptible power source) and space for an additional battery facilitate wireless use.
Ergo Tier Cart with Mobicube can function as a single workstation. It features partitions for privacy that double as a sound and light barrier. The height-adjustable workstation includes a flat-panel monitor platform with multiple tilt positions. AFC Industries also said that Eastman Kodak adopted Mobicube as its mammography cart.
