Fujifilm taps Kawaguchi as president
Fujfilm Medical Systems Inc. has appointed Makoto Kawaguchi as the company's new president. As president, he is responsible for all U.S. sales and service for Fuji's medical imaging, life science and non-destructive testing products. Additionally, as he oversees all global marketing and R&D programs for the company's medical IT services, the primary focus of which will be the Synapse PACS, Fuji said.
The previous president was Takushi Nasu who served from October 1997 through April 2005. Nasu now begins his new appointment as general manager of the international planning and administration division in Fuji's headquarters located in Tokyo.
Kawaguchi has more than 25 years experience in the international marketing and sales of Fuji's medical imaging through variety of positions including deputy general manager of Fuji's Medical Systems Division, and senior operations manager for Japan's sales administrative division.
