Misys activates enhanced lab reporting, CPR systems
Misys Healthcare Systems has announced Misys Laboratory-Disease Reporting Interface, a new connectivity system which manages the transmittal of infectious disease data between state electronics laboratory reporting databases. Among the first to activate the system is the New York State Department of Health, Misys said.
The system aggregates reportable disease conditions from a hospital laboratory system and sends the information in a single data set to a state department of health database, which in turn spreads the information to all statewide health departments. After that, the information travels to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) National Electronic Disease Surveillance System (NEDSS).
Misys has also announced that POH Medical Center located in Pontiac, Mich. has gone live with its Misys CPR, an enterprise-wide intregrated computer based patient record. The kickoff follows a 13-month rapid-implementation rollout, Misys said.
Approximately 1,000 Center employees are using the system to electronically coordinate care for a patient's entire hospital visit through every phase.
