Sectra to produce mammography systems in Stockholm

Sectra has announced that it will begin production of mammography systems in Stockholm, Sweden. Göran Persson, the Prime Minister of Sweden, is set to help inaugurate production.

The new facility includes space for both production and development. A major focus of the development is the radiology detector developed by Associate Professor Mats Danielsson along with his colleagues at the Royal Institute of Technology, with hopes of propeling mammography forward by developing the market's lowest radiation dose, Sectra said.
