PSS and GEMSIT to co-market Centricity package

PSS World Medical Inc. and  GE Medical Systems Information Technologies (GEMSIT) have inked a three-year agreement to market GEMSIT's office management and electronic medical record (EMR) software technology to U.S. physician offices.

PSS will carry GEMSIT's Centricity Physician Office Practice Management system and the Centricity Physician Office EMR (electronic medical record) system and support services to help automate office functions, enhance efficiencies and provide better patient care.

GEMSIT estimates that the Centricity Physician Office Practice Management system is installed in approximately 3,000 office-based physician practices. It allows physicians to automate administrative functions, such as scheduling, patient information, billing, insurance claim processing, accounts receivable and collections, managed care, and inventory control.
