Cedara inks agreement with Chinese x-ray company

Cedara Software Corp. has signed a distribution agreement with medical equipment provider Shanghai Medical Equipment Works (SMEW), of China.

SMEW will begin selling Cedara's I-Acquire/DR acquisition console software, I-SoftView diagnostic review workstation and I-Store image and distribution archive.

Cedara's I-Acquire can be integrated with digital flat panel detectors, digital radiography (DR) and computed radiography (CR) scanners/readers for general purpose multi-modality viewing. The I-SoftView diagnostic review workstation and I-Store image distribution and archive analyze, store and distribute medical images.

SMEW provides products and service to more than 5,000 hospitals.
