Dictaphone could buy MDexchange under new marketing and development pact
Dictaphone Corp. and MDexchange Inc. have inked a marketing and development agreement for Dictaphone to integrate its speech and language product line into MDexchange's Internet-based file sharing technology.
The contract also includes an option for Dictaphone to purchase MDexchange.
Dictaphone already has launched Clinical Data Exchange (CDx) based on its partnership with MDexchange. CDx is designed for radiology department and imaging centers that need to transmit and receive reports and images, but does not have a picture archiving and communication system (PACS). CDx locates clinical information in databases throughout a healthcare facility or at a remote location and combines the data into one organized patient worklist.
