Barco expands market in Japan

Barco and Toyo Corp., of Tokyo, will set-up a joint venture in Japan called Barco-Toyo Medical Systems Japan Co. Ltd.

 The new company will develop Barco's custom modality OEM systems for the Japanese medical imaging market. Both companies will own 50 percent of the shares in the endeavor. Toyo currently is Barco's distributor for the Japanese PACS (picture archiving and communications systems) market.
