GEMSIT adds HealthCo as regional reseller

HealthCo Information Systems Inc. and GE Medical Systems this week signed a long-term agreement for the physician practice management firm to become an official value-added reseller (VAR) with GE Medical Systems Information Technologies (GEMSIT).

HealthCo, based in Tualatin, Ore., will market GEMSIT's Centricity Physician Office products to physician clinics in Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, Montana, southern Nevada, Oregon and Washington.

HealthCo services more than 1,200 physicians at some 300 medical practices throughout the western United States.

GEMSIT's Centricity Physician Office Practice Management system currently is installed in more than 3,500 office-based physician practices, automating administrative functions, such as scheduling, patient information, billing, insurance claim processing, accounts receivable and collections, managed care, and inventory control.
