Vital Works is awarded two contracts
VitalWorks Inc. has inked contracts with two healthcare entities -- Mountain States Health Alliance (MSHA) and Wake Radiology Services LLC.
The Ridgefield, Conn. company will install an emergency department information system (EDIS) for MSHA, including the company's s emergency department patient tracking system (EMtrack) and its emergency medicine electronic medical records system (EMstation).
MSHA, headquartered in Johnson City, Tenn., serves 28 counties in Tennessee, Virginia, Kentucky, and North Carolina. More than 750 physicians provide healthcare services at nine hospitals, 13 outpatient care sites, and 21 primary/preventative care centers. With more than 150,000 emergency department visits each year, MSHA is the largest healthcare network in their region.
Vital Works will provide Wake Radiology Services radiology information systems (RIS) and document management systems for that entire enterprise. Wake Radiology Services will deploy RadConnect RIS, VitalWorks' Web-based radiology information system, along with Replica, its integrated document management system.
The project will be initially installed at Wake Radiology's North Hills Imaging Center location in Raleigh, N.C., and will be implemented throughout its network of imaging centers over the course of the next 12 months.
Wake Radiology Services has 45 radiologists and more than 300 employees.
