Fujitsu launches the DynaMO 1300 for ultrasound

Fujitsu Computer Products of America Inc. unveiled its next-generation DICOM image transportation and viewing system for the ultrasound market.

Fujitsu revealed the DynaMO 1300 Pocket with DICOM Viewer, a portable high-performance 1.3GB magneto-optical (MO) drive with DICOM image viewing software.

The compact device weighs 15 ounces and is 23-mm thin, making the drive ideal for any ultrasound and medical imaging practitioner, says Fujitsu. Power is supplied directly through its hi-speed USB 2.0 interface, eliminating the need for an AC adapter. According to Fujitsu, The DynaMO 1300 Pocket drive stores and retrieves data from the same robust 3.5-inch MODs that doctors and hospital administrators' use to store and transport ultrasound images.
