NovaRad unveils new product for orthopedic surgeons

PACS and RIS developer, NovaRad Corp. and Orthocrat Ltd. jointly offer a new surgical planning tool to be used in orthopedics.

NovaRad will now distribute Orthocrat's TraumaCad preoperative planning software bundled with NovaPACS to orthopedic clinics throughout the United States. The bundled product will be marketed as OrthoPACS.

Designed specifically for orthopedic surgeons, the Orthocrat TraumaCad/NovaPACS product integrates Ortho tools with a NovaPACS workstation. In addition, the software offers procedure simulation capabilities for fracture reduction, osteotomy, and trauma.

NovaRad has completed its first installation of OrthoPACS at Orthopaedic Trauma and Reconstructive Associates in Peabody, Mass.
