Eclipsys awarded IT pact from Bradley Memorial Hospital and HUP

Bradley Memorial Hospital in Cleveland, Tenn., has selected Eclipsys Corp. to provide information technology (IT) management services.

Bradley Memorial Hospital COO Dewayne Belew said Eclipsys will have responsibility for the 251-bed facility's entire IT operation, as the company provides hardware and network support, help desk, on-site information management and remote hosting.

Bradley Memorial Hospital has some 160 physicians representing more than 30 specialties, including pediatrics, emergency medicine, medical and radiation oncology, cardiology and rheumatology.

Eclipsys also has installed its Sunrise Clinical Manager at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP), the flagship hospital of the University of Pennsylvania Health System (UPHS).

Eclipsys' Sunrise Clinical Manager is live across all acute-care venues at HUP, as well as emergency department and numerous ambulatory settings, including computerized physician order entry (CPOE) with Eclipsys' Knowledge-Based Orders, Medication Administration Record (MAR), and a bi-directional interface to the hospital's pharmacy system.
