FDA OKs CoActiv PACS for digital mammography

CoActiv Medical Business Solutions has received U.S. FDA approval for its CoActiv EXAM-PACS for primary reads and archival storage of digital mammography exams.  According to the Ridgefield, Conn.-based company, its partnership with Barco's line of 5 MP flat panel display systems attributed to the regulatory approval for digital mammography diagnostic reads.
   
CoActiv EXAM-PACS acquires and archives digital mammography images using the lossless compression standards required by FDA guidelines. CoActiv's EXAM-Viewer software, along with Barco's 5 MP Medical Flat Grayscale Display for digital mammography, provide the high resolution, contrast, and calibration stability required for digital mammography reads.
